Tra fotografia e pittura

Atmosfere fortemente evocative, talvolta sospese, tanto da portare lo spettatore, che vi si pone di fronte, a smarrirsi dentro una dimensione spazio-temporale rarefatta e indefinita. Non c'è un quando preciso e neppure un dove. Sparuti dettagli (una canotta rossa, un basso elettrico, un conturbante foulard) riconducono ad una dimensione reale, ma difficilmente chi guarda riesce a ricostruire il contesto intorno al soggetto della fotografia.

Non è più umano il protagonista del ritratto, ma è la luce a rubare la scena. Il volto diventa un pretesto, quasi un supporto per sperimentare quanto sia effimera e precaria la sembianza umana. E' difficile riconoscere e riconoscersi. [...]

Between photography and painting

Atmospheres strongly evocative atmospheres, sometimes suspended, that bring the viewer to lose himself into a rarefied and indefinite space-time dimension. There isn't a specified when and neither a where. Few details (some red clothes, a bass guitar, a perturbing headscarf) trace back to a real dimension but rarely the watcher can be able to rebuild the context around the image's subject.

The portrait leading protagonist is not the human subject anymore but it's the light that steal the scene. The face becomes an ostensible reason, nearly a support, to test how precarious and runaway is the human appearance. [...]
